This miniseries pits Thor against The Collector as the Collector's possession, Alter Ego (a clone of Ego the Living Planet) is let loose and goes on the rampage seeking his counterpart. Ego seeks his brother so he won't be alone in the universe and Alter Ego seeks his brother to destroy him so he can continue being unique.
