Luckily his best pal Jughead is working at a pet shop -- and reluctantly agrees to loan Archie a parrot. The mouthy bird soon gets him into trouble, and Mr. Andrews is tasked with bringing the animal to Betty. There's only one problem: it's Veronica's birthday! This series went on for 113 issues and than became simply "Archie" which started with issue 114. An issue was published bi-monthly for the majority of the series up until issue 93 when it became a monthly comic, though even then there was the occasional month skipped.
