Volume Description

A manga series that follows the lives of three American soldiers, Botasky, Parky and Rats, during the Vietnam War. They are part of a recon team called Cat Shit One, which also happens to be the title of the original Japanese manga. The American release was named after the movie Apocalypse Now.

Characters in this manga are depicted as animals based on their nationality. For instance: Americans are rabbits, the British are rats, and the Vietnamese are cats. There is some reasoning behind these depictions, as the Americans for example are rabbits due to a pun on the Japanese word for Americans: "usagi", or USA GI.
