Anita Blake is back in this the second adaptation of the Circus of the Damned collecting Anita Blake: Circus of the Damned - The Ingenue #1-5.

Anita's search for the master vampire continues, and she discovers that she doesn't know everything about the undead. A body that should have remained dead rises into a powerful vampire that can resist Anita's control.

Anita also investigates a second victim who is bloodless, but with multiple bite wounds, which shows that more than one vampire fed of the body, and when the body rises she finds out what she thought she knew about mass feeding was wrong as well.
