Animal Man in outer space! How did this happen? And what will Buddy find on “THE SEED PLANET”?
Buddy Baker finds himself on a new planet surrounded by angry aliens who attack him. Animal Man is lost not being able to tap into any animal powers nearby, but when he taps into the power of the largest alien, he is able to defeat it and survive. He is then approached by Bridgewalker, who tells him he is on Seed Planet and he has been chosen to be Seed Planet's new protector.
Animal Man, refuses at first but then makes a deal, Bridgewalker will send him back to the Red and then when his family is safe he will become Seed Planet's protector for the rest of his life.
Brigewalker, after giving Animal Man new power, sends Buddy back to the Red where he becomes face to face with the King of the Limbs, who plans on killing Buddy, just like Brother Blood will kill Maxine.

Volume Description
A New 52 series starring Animal Man. This is the second Animal Man series and the first not under the Vertigo imprint since the first series switched over at Vertigo's founding in 1993, although the character has appeared for several years in the DCU following the cancellation of his previous ongoing.
After Travel Foreman left the book following its first arc, the series saw the return of Steve Pugh who had been the main artist during the character's last volume, specifically during Jamie Delano's run which largely inspired this series.
