Overview
Remember all those pulp magazines from the `30s, before comics became all the rage? Welcome to Dark Horse's updated and slightly offbeat version, a confessional about, well, animals. This spoof contains a variety of decidedly twisted but not-so-funny animal tales, written and drawn by a variety of artists, all wrapped up behind a dynamite good-girl-with-bunny cover illustration by Art Adams! The stories include: "My True Story" and "Pet Miracles" by Rick Geary; "Horseshoes Ain't Lucky" and "Mary the Elephant" by Jerry Prosser (Exquisite Corpse) and Jack Pollock; and "The Spy" by Randy Stradley (Aliens vs. Predator) and Eric Vincent (Alien Fire). Nina Paley also contributes two pages of animal mayhem, while Mark Martin (20 Nude Dancers 20) rounds out the issue with ad parodies--or are they?
