The director gives her some advice,and the part. Peter and MJ celebrates in Forest Hills with May until a letter arrives from Gwen Stacy. Reading it Peter learns that Gwen had some bad news, but half the message is missing. MJ wonders how long the letter must have been. lost in the mail system but Peter points out the postage is only from days ago. Peter visits Gwen's grave where he is taunted by two mysterious attackers. He fights them off and escapes by sticking to a passing truck. The attackers realize that Peter is Spider-Man.
