Volume Description

Amazing Heroes was published from 1981 to 1992 by Fantagraphics and released 204 issues. It was initially published under the Zam Inc. imprint through issue 6, at issue 7 it was published under the Redbeard Inc. Imprint until issue 68 where it was published under the main imprint Fantagraphics Books. The comic was released as magazine sized but was changed to comic size after the first 12 issues. The rights to Amazing Heroes were sold to Personality Comics in 1993 in hopes to revive the series but Personality Comics went bankrupt shortly after and never got the chance.

Amazing heroes contains news, reviews, previews, and interviews about the comic industry and creators. It also gave readers a behind the scenes look at particular comics characters disscussing their backgrounds information, and powers. Amazing heroes was published alongside The Comics Journal which was also published by Fantagraphics.
