Storm formulates a plan as the heroes fail to penetrate Mr. Knife’s Flying Fortress. Meanwhile, Beast and Kitty travel to Spartax to decipher the secrets of the Vortex book. And to make matters worse, Kitty and Peter’s relationship takes a downward turn!

Continued from Uncanny X-Men (vol.2). After the conclusion of Avengers Vs. X-Men and the AVX: Consequences mini-series comes this series. A Marvel NOW! title starring the original five X-Men. The teenage Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Iceman, Angel and Beast are brought into the present to face a future where Professor Xavier’s dream has become a nightmare. The series lasted until issue 41 and was continued in All-New X-Men Vol.2 after the events of Secret Wars.

Although the series was a replacement of the Uncanny X-Men series, that series returned as well with Uncanny X-Men (vol. 3) some months after this series started.
