Starting at Eastern Color, then going for a long stay at Columbia Comics (Big Shot Comics), Charlie Chan next went to Prize Comics, then from there came to his short episode in his comic book career at Charlton Comics, where the numbering started at # 6 continuing the numbering from the Prize run, with the first two issues done by non other than Simon & Kirby (left over from their work for Prize), after this Chan and company would go to Dell for a very short while (I suppose he had to, for comic book characters without a set home Dell is sort of like jury duty I guess) then on to DC, and after the end of the DC series no more new comics or for that matter any Charlie Chan at all until a reprint by Malibu of the newspaper strips in the 80’s.
