Issue Description
Lightning Lad and Saturn Girl get married and the Legion of Super-Heroes and the Legion of Substitute Heroes are invited. Superboy flies into the future to attend the wedding when he notices the future is distinctly different from what he recalled: the Metropolis of the future is unusually militaristic. Projectra explains that in 1978, the United Nations disbanded and humans made more dangerous weapons than atomic bombs to fight against each other, and that resentment continued to gain momentum into the future, where Earth is at war with Venus, who is at war with Winath, and so on. Superboy realizes he has to fix the time stream and demands an emergency meeting after the wedding, but as soon as the wedding is over, Saturn Girl and Lightning Lad are kidnapped by galactic invaders. While most of the Legion want to give chase to return the newly-married couple, Superboy insists that going into the past would solve everything. While the one team of Legionnaires are able to save Lightning Lad and Saturn Girl before they die, Superboy and his team find the real culprit behind the time disruption: the Time Trapper. The Legion of Super-Heroes are able to use the Miracle Machine top stop the Time Trapper's menace and they succeed, reverting reality to its true form.
