Issue Description

Gritty biographical comic in which the "Famous" eBay Apple Man extols the virtues of the Pets.com.  Those who read between the lines will see the seeds of Special Operations Officer Tara Chace in the eBay spokesfruit.  When Oni forced Rucka to replace his cast of anthropomorphic fruit  with the more traditional human team, Queen & Country's loss was eBay's gain.  Many of the themes dealt with at more length in Queen & Country are seen in embryonic flashes here.  While Ms. Van Meter's nascent  ideas can also be seen to presage later work, they simply do not stand the test of time.  The safety-pin bedecked mailman who struggles to leave behind his squat on the L.E.S. for the suburbs feels particularly tacked on and unnecessary.  Judd Winick's art is, as always, transcendent.  Looking at the cover, one sees that even this early in the game, he had surpassed Kirby, Ditko, even Liefeld, in almost every regard.
