The Legionnaires tangle with Doctor Regulus, a mad villain who harnesses the power of radioactive gold. Dr. Regulus stole the Legion of Super-Heroes clubhouse as a show of power, but eventually loses to the Legion. It is revealed that Dr. Regulus is the source behind Sun Boy receiving his power.
