Issue Description
Following his fruitless search for answers to the mystery of the body in his tomb, Superman returns to Metropolis...where no one believes he's the real thing.
Superman Triangle 48 of 1994. Believing Mr. Mxyzptlk is behind the duplicate of Superman’s dead body left in Centennial Park, Superman sneak into S.T.A.R. Labs to try to prove that the corpse is one of Mxyzptlk’s tricks. Guards at S.T.A.R. Labs find the Man of Steel trespassing, and call in the Metropolis S.C.U. Worried about Superman’s erratic behavior since the arrival of the corpse, and unsure whether Superman is the real Superman, Maggie Sawyer and Dan Turpin show up in the S.C.U.’s new giant robotic armor. Superman, believing this to all be a game created by Mxyzptlk, makes short work of the armor. Losing his sanity, Superman almost punches Maggie Sawyer to prove she is just a Mxyzptlk-created illusion. Mxyzptlk shows up, saying that he is not the culprit. Shocked at having almost killed Maggie, Superman flees. Meanwhile, a serial killer names Ramsey Murdoch has killed a telemarketer, and the real culprit, Brainiac, is escaping his prison on New Genesis.

Volume Description
In the early days of comics books, it was not the convention to name comics after specific characters. Rather comics bore generic names such as this one. Although this series featured Superman throughout, it thus bore this name, one which it has become famous for (and the name was kept after the launch of The New 52.) It was the fourth DC Comics title, and the first new one produced after Detective Comics spread beyond the one title (this was after it purchased More Fun Comics and New Adventure Comics.)
Starring: Lex Luthor (starting #890) until #900.
Second Feature: Captain Atom (#879-#889), Superboy (#892), Jimmy Olsen (#893-#896)
