After finding out that his father was the world's most notorious super-villain, ERIC HOFFMAN set out to right the wrongs he committed. Eric took on the mantle of ABYSS and became a superhero. Unfortunately he found out that the job is harder than it looks.
Despite support from heroes like ARROW, SCHAAFTE, and QUIVER as well as actor RICK GAUGE, Eric fell under the disapproving gaze of the worlds greatest superhero, MR. MAGIC. Fearing that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, Mr. Magic doesn't want Eric to be a superhero in any way, shape, or form. And as leader of the world's premier superhero family / team, the SUPER SIX, his opinion carries a lot of weight.
As Eric reconsiders his role in the superhero world, the mysterious POLLACK appears and delivers a shocking bombshell - Eric's mother is alive and well...and married to MR. MAGIC.
