The Abomination of the Storm - In Alabama 1864 a mysterious iron crate is delivered on to a steam ship bound for Cuba. The ship and its cargo are dragged to the depths by a giant squid.
Years later, in Paris 1871, Jules Verne's hero, Captain Nemo, comes to the rescue of Amelie and Professor Aronnax. Captain Nemo smuggles them out of Paris and they board the submersible Nautilus.
The three adventurers find and attempt a salvage of the sunken Confederate steam ship and its iron cargo while Captain Nemo struggles with intense visions of horror.
